CHALLENGE
Transform the intranet of a large regional brokerage firm into the primary source of company information for its internal employees. Special information submission and access for investment executives and other unique user groups was a requirement.
SOLUTION
Tech-Pro partnered with the clients internal staff to design, develop, and deploy a solution. The design called for database stored content using SQL Server. A non-programmer interface was developed for content maintenance allowing business/content owners to change their own content. A workflow approval process was incorporated for content submission, approval, and publishing.
RESULT
General employees use the site over 90,000 times a day. The site has become the dashboard for internal users to access applications and information they use everyday. The site is continually being improved upon and new applications being added on a regular basis. Content owners are able to quickly and efficiently update and publish information to the site. Special access to key information on mutual funds, bonds, fixed securities, IPO, and secondary stock issue was facilitated on the site for investment executives.
