CHALLENGE
Create a custom order workflow automation process/application integrated into Great Plains using Microsoft .NET. The application was to fill the gap in functionality needed by the client’s special business needs.
SOLUTION
Tech-Pro’s .NET development team worked in conjunction with domain experts from our client to define and design a solution. All development work was done at Tech-Pro’s development center in St. Paul. The client provided a developer to work at Tech-Pro with our team. The all Microsoft solution utilized SQL Server, n-Tier architecture (using C# and T-SQL), XML/XSLT, .NET Windows Services, and Windows Server 2003 Platform.
RESULT
The resulting system automated the order workflow according to define requirements. An asynchronous file processing program aided in the automation. The client was satisfied with the functionality and performance of the system. The client has engaged us to develop additional customization to their system primarily focused on interfaces to their customers.
